I was 22 years old, fresh out of the Navy, and working as an auto mechanic.
My Dad gave me some advice: If you want to be a mechanic, be a mechanic. But if you want to make anything out of yourself, you have to have your own shop. So, we began looking for possible auto shops to buy, when the opportunity to work for my Dad's best friend, George, came along.
