What is causing my garage door problems?
My garage door refuses to go down.
It gets about an inch and a half away from the ground each time but will not seem to shut.
I am located in Minnesota and the cold may be causing some problems but I do no see anything obstructing the light at the bottom of the garage door.
Any suggestions for me to figure this issue out?

I have checked the track and cleaned the optical lenses.

I purchased 2 insulated garage doors and hired a local contractor to install them.
The doors are fine going up and down, however, there is some light coming through the sides.
The doors do not fit flush against the frame.
The contractor said that some light will come through as they need some room.
Otherwise, they would rub against the frame and perhaps bind up.
I don't know if he is correct in his assessment of the situation and if he is, can some type of insulation be used to seal those openings?

Most doors that are 7 feet high only have one spring unless they have a steel back over insulation or they are wood.
Most doors that are installed in to track homes are a light weight steel and require very little help going up.
The problem with wanting two springs is that it would be more expensive for you.
They do not make springs small enough to evenly split the weight on such a light door.
The spring on the door is made to lift about 150 pounds the smallest springs mass distributed is about 100 pounds.
