That is how Chris got his start.
Essentially, he got into the garage door business by going to a birthday party.
While Chris was in grad school, he went to a friend's birthday party and overheard a guy (Nathan) talking about how he lost his only employee because he could not guarantee him full-time work.
Chris walked up to Nathan and told him that he would work for him part-time if he trained him.
